The power of community was on full display at the 11th annual Lesbians Who Tech & Allies (LWT) Summit in New York City. Pioneering LGBTQ+ leaders and allies came together across technology, media, and business to show what can be achieved collectively by combining diversity and innovation. The LWT Summit aims to build pathways for women, women of color, and nonbinary leaders through economic empowerment, including access to jobs and leadership roles across various sectors.

JPMorganChase’s CIO of Global Banking Erin King discussed the firm’s forward-thinking approach and dedication to leveraging technology to serve clients and empower employees. King described the bank’s digital transformation from the firm’s multi-cloud strategy, significant investments in AI and emerging technologies, and the importance of prioritizing cybersecurity. Given the speed at which technological innovation is occurring, particularly with the impact of AI, King said that the way the firm’s developers, clients, and operations work will change dramatically in the future.

Business and technology leaders from companies, including Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, and Plaid also discussed how their organizations are innovating and creating societal impact via technology.

Overall, the LWT Summit was a testament to the power of technology and community in driving progress and innovation!
