We recently concluded JPMorganChase’s 16th annual Technology Innovation Symposium, which brought together our Global Technology leadership and our strategic and emerging technology vendors to discuss key themes and how those might influence our technology priorities and direction.

Our Technology Innovation Symposium, hosted in partnership with our Technology Investment Banking leadership, invited entrepreneurs, tech founders, CEOs, and VCs to come together in Menlo Park to explore industry trends, key innovation areas, and expand their networks, while celebrating the 2024 JPMorganChase Hall of Innovation inductees. Opening the symposium, I emphasized the crucial role of collaboration with the Silicon Valley innovation community. At JPMorganChase, innovation is embedded in our DNA—emerging technologies and our engagement with the technology ecosystem drive incredible impact across our bank.

JPMorganChase Global Technology leaders, including Global Chief Information Officer Lori Beer and Global Banking Chief Information Officer Erin King, shared insights into our strategic direction. Lori encapsulated our vision perfectly: “We’re not just imagining the future. We’re building it.”

Breakout sessions led by JPMorganChase CIOs and senior technology leaders delved into our key innovation areas, such as multi-cloud and developer platforms, digital experiences, GenAI: data, models and analytics, and cybersecurity at the speed of business. These sessions provided a platform for in-depth discussions and knowledge sharing, reinforcing our commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancement.

A highlight of the symposium was the induction of Codeium and Snyk into the JPMorganChase Hall of Innovation. This recognition is reserved for emerging technology companies that demonstrate product excellence, disrupt the tech landscape, and exhibit outstanding partnership with our firm. Sandhya Sridharan, Global Head of Engineer’s Platform & Integrated Experience, presented the award to Codeium for enhancing developer productivity and engineering experience. Graham Hill, Head of Enterprise Product Security, Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, honored Snyk for its role in creating a frictionless engineering experience and securing our software by managing supply chain risks.

The day concluded with a networking reception, where attendees continued to build great connections and have informal conversations with their peers and leaders, as well as tech teams across Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Private Banking and Private Investment.

It was a fantastic day filled with insightful discussions and meaningful connections, thanks to my JPMorganChase colleagues, the CEOs, founders, and co-founders who joined us. Congratulations once again to Codeium and Snyk, this year’s Hall of Innovation inductees.
