Lori Beer, Global Chief Information Officer at JPMorganChase, captivated the audience as a keynote speaker at AWS re:Invent, where she highlighted the firm's groundbreaking advancements in modernization, cloud infrastructure and AI capabilities.

During her presentation, Beer provided an insightful update on JPMorganChase's cloud migration journey and its strategic collaboration with AWS. She emphasized the core principles continuing to drive the firm’s multi-cloud strategy, which include establishing a strong security foundation, prioritizing modernization, enabling innovative services to drive product development, and strategically prioritizing migration for the most impactful use cases. Adhering to these principles has helped JPMorganChase solidify its position as a financial services provider for more than 90% of Fortune 500 companies and one of the largest payment processors globally, handling over 50% of e-commerce transactions in the U.S.

Addressing an audience of over 60,000 attendees, Beer shared, "Our core programs in the cloud journey remain steadfast. We continue to focus on building a resilient security foundation that aligns with our robust regulatory framework, while prioritizing modernization across both business and technology. This approach drives new product development and accelerates our go-to-market strategies."

Beer also acknowledged the bank's impressive scale, with 44,000 software engineers managing nearly an exabyte of data. This significant task is supported by advanced data management tools from AWS, underscoring the bank's commitment to leveraging best-in-class technology across the ecosystem to enhance its operations, Beer said.
