J.P. Morgan Host-to-Host PGP Key

We routinely update our PGP keys for server-based file transmissions on J.P. Morgan Host-to-Host. To ensure uninterrupted service, clients must make sure that they are using the current version of our PGP key when they send encrypted files or receive digitally signed files.

Sending Encrypted Files

  • J.P. Morgan only requires the files that you transmit to be digitally signed with your PGP key. File level encryption is considered optional and is only supported if requested.
  • If you apply the additional file level encryption, then you must coordinate updating our PGP in your system as directed for each renewal cycle. We currently renew our PGP key every two (2) years.
  • The additional file-level encryption with the J.P. Morgan PGP key is not required and may be removed to eliminate the impact of future key renewals.

Receiving Digitally Signed Files

  • J.P. Morgan only requires that the connection, or tunnel, be encrypted for files you receive from us. File level security, encryption and/or digital signing is considered optional and is only supported if requested.
  • If you request that the files you receive from us to be digitally signed with our PGP key, then you must coordinate updating our PGP in your system as directed for each renewal cycle. We currently renew our PGP key every two (2) years.
  • The additional digital signing of outbound files using the J.P. Morgan H2H key is not required and may be removed to eliminate the impact of future PGP key renewals. Please contact us for assistance if you wish to remove the optional digital signatures on files you receive from us.

PGP Key Download Instructions

Please download and rename the J.P. Morgan public key and then install it on your keyring. Once this is done, you may address encryption and signature as above by configuring your system appropriately and coordinating activities as necessary.
