IVECO CAPITAL, the financing arm of Iveco Group (EXM: IVG), was awarded Highly Commended in the 2024 Adam Smith Awards category for Best Emerging Technology Solution, which recognizes organizations that have demonstrated outstanding innovation in financial technology, delivering significant improvements in efficiency, functionality and user experience.

Iveco Group was seeking online payment solutions to support a wide range of IVECO services, including telematics, maintenance and repair, and e-charge cards. It also wanted to digitize and simplify customer collection processes, including automatic invoice-payment reconciliation.
The goal was to establish a payment hub, managed by the IVECO CAPITAL team, incorporating both customer and merchant-initiated transactions and servicing multiple merchants and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Head of Business Development & Strategy at Iveco Group Financial Services, Elio Fonti, shared that the company’s existing portals lacked payment capabilities. Additionally, the portals were connected to disparate back-end systems, complicating reconciliation. The objective was to enhance operations by implementing a scalable regional solution, initially targeting European countries.
This overhaul required digital payment functionality integrations to help support IVECO’s compliance with varying regional financial regulations. “We want to provide a simple, holistic view of the full digital payment cycle and allow our customers to select their preferred method of payment,” explains Fonti.

Payment widget: Introducing an interactive checkout tool that allows customers to select and manage payment options directly during the checkout process enhances the user experience by enabling easy selection and management of payment methods
Expanded payment options: Supporting diverse payment methods, including credit cards, Bacs and Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), with the potential expansion to local direct debits and other payment methods like PayPal, the solution caters to a wide range of customer preferences
